UK Wide, International Remit c. £25,000 + bonus + Private Healthcare + Personal Pension Plan + Life Cover Our client is a leading supplier of Fibre Optic test Equipment worldwide. They design and manufacture handheld test products for use on all types of fibre optic communication systems, used in telecommunication and data communication systems. They sell to major telecoms service providers and small installation companies and offer a high level of customer support and service. They are looking to recruit a Sales Engineer. This position is based predominantly abroad, therefore they are looking for candidates based anywhere in the UK within easy access to an international airport. The role: The position will support sales and customer activities in the European, Middle East and African markets for all company brand products. Predominant responsibilities will be to assist local agents and distributors with product demonstrations, seek specification positions at end-users, provide localized competitive analysis, provide product training and convey all of the above, as well as general market information, to the Sales Manager. Main responsibilities: Job duties will be to travel throughout the designated territory supporting agencies and distributors in all aspects of growing the company brand business. You will also need to establish strong relationships with agencies and selected distributors and end-users. You will also coordinate and manage training sessions, customer visits, and trade show participation. Finally you will Support Product Line Managers in product market analysis, competitive analysis and assorted activities related to product development. Skills and Experience: * Fluent in English, second language skills a plus. French language skills are also desirable. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint. * Self-starter with a customer focus and an ability to drive positive results. * University degree in Technical or Business discipline (or equivalent).
