REQUIRED: Trading Assistant The ideal candidate would be someone relatively junior, with the linguistic skills and perhaps marketing degree. At least 1 years experience in trading/import-export environment - with the right character and ambition to progess and succeed. Salary level should be 17-21K pa depending on skills and experience Character: An enthusiastic, self motivated hard worker with drive, stamina and skill to fit into a dynamic company working in an international market place. Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills required in order to establish credibility and build strong relationships with suppliers and customers. Career Prospects: Long Term: Ability to progress to a trading role. Daily Tasks: Assisting Traders with bids, offers, requests leading up to contracts and any correspondence. Dealing with specific requests Maintenance of supplier, customer, price and product databases Sending out pricelists Liasing with customers, suppliers and associated companies. Dealing with Repeat Business Developing potential new markets (new suppliers, new customers, new products). Following market trends and establishing sales strategies. Giving a market report every morning Reporting to traders on potential deals and market trends. Planning sales trips and often-accompanying traders. Assisting at exhibitions and conferences. Other business development projects. Any other projects as defined by traders from time to time. Reception and other general office duties Other Skills: Sound Knowledge in trading terminology and logistics and/or product knowledge. Languages (mainly European - German, French, Spanish, Italian etc.) Excellent PC Skills - Word, Excel, Outlook Fluent English and excellent written and oral communication skills Live locally or willing to travel to NW London Start : as soon as possible |
