| This position provides secretarial support to the Deputy Director of Personnel and Organisaton Development and will involve participating as a member of the personnel team.
This will include: preparing correspondence and reports, filing, scheduling appointments, maintaining diaries, organising meetings and travel arrangements, prioritising workloads, assisting with individual queries, checking invoices, assisting staff and managers, organising long service awards, assisting in the preparation of documentation, organising and administering meetingss of the job evaluation panel, responding to enquiries about employment, recruitment administration, monitoring probation periods, monitoring the expiry dates of temporary and fixed term contracts, preparing salary documentation, maintaining the computerised personnel information system and preparing induction packs. Applicants must be approachable, flexible, confident, have a good level of computer literacy, have good communication skills, be able to cope with large volumes of work, be organised and able to work on own initiative, be a good team worker, be calm under pressure and be able to prioritise. Applicants must have 2 years previous secretarial experience and experience of working in a personnel environment is desirable. |
