| The initial duties of this post include:
1. Entering new instruments and counterparties into the settlement database (RIMS) with a high degree of accuracy and promptness. 2. Maintaining the static data in RIMS with reference to Bloomberg and other external data sources. 3. Proactively monitoring instrument variability and making database amendments as necessary. 4. Maintaining a filing system of all active instruments and counterparties. 5. Liasing with colleagues and Bloomberg to ensure the accuracy of RIMS data. 6. Providing support services to the Settlements Department covering the following areas: a. Searching for instrument data relating to new issues b. Researching counterparty settlement instructions c. Performing trade calculations using Bloomberg d. Investigating trade cash differences using manual trade calculations Once trained and competent in the data coordination part of the role, the postholder would be trained to assist in technically supporting the settlement system database (RIMS) and related database systems.
