Secretarial - Banking Secretary

City/Finance required,combined with a stable working background. Arabic desirable, but not essential.

As an assistant, you will perform diverse secretarial duties and administrative functions requiring confidentiality, initiative and sound judgement for the PB Middle Eastern team (EMEA) ?seven people in total, including one MD. In addition to filing, faxing and photocopying you will prepare and/or assist in creating presentations, charts/graphs, databases, spreadsheets, and materials for meetings; compose routine correspondence; organise your manager's diary; and deal with internal and external clients. You will also co-ordinate travel arrangements (including flights, hotels, taxis, currency etc.) and reconcile expenses. In addition, you may gather and analyse data to complete independent assignments and organise and maintain confidential files.

Qualifications
Strong PC skills (proficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; knowledge of Lotus Notes preferred)
Knowledge of general office procedures (e.g., filing, correspondence, arranging meetings)
Shorthand or speed writing an advantage
Knowledge of Arabic would be helpful but not essential.
Effective interpersonal skills
Superior oral and written communication skills
Excellent telephone manner
Advanced ability to organise and manage own time
Tact and good judgement in confidential situations and the ability to interact with senior management
At least five years of secretarial experience and meeting co-ordination, including some support at a senior level.
