Secretary - Corporate Finance

A vacancy has arisen for a Secretary to support a Corporate Finance Director. This is largely a one-to-one role, but the jobholder will also be required to provide support to the other Secretaries within the division. The role will include the following responsibilities:

· typing of general correspondence, prospectuses and reports;
· general PA support and assistance to Corporate Finance Director;
· sending press release announcements via the internet;
· performing Director searches;
· dealing with sensitive and confidential information;
· diary management and co-ordination (both electronic and paper diary systems);
· organisation of meetings;
· general office administration such as booking couriers, travel arrangements and dealing with invoices;
· maintenance of the department database (Act *****);
· telephone cover for the department and other secretaries;

Skills and Experience Required
· At least two years' secretarial experience, preferably in a one-to-one role;
· Secretarial experience within a Corporate Finance or legal background would be helpful but is not essential. Banking experience is essential. A knowledge of Corporate Finance would also be preferred;
· At least 70wpm typing speed essential;
· experience of audio typing would be preferred;
· Groupwise Diary management and e-mail system;
· Strong Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills.

In busy times, the department will be under extreme pressure and working to tight deadlines, therefore additional working hours may be required form time to time. The three secretaries within the team operate a shift structure for their working hours, which rotates on a weekly basis, with one person working from 8.30 - 4.30, one from 9.00 - 5.00 and one from 10.00 - 6.00.
