Group Communications Executive

Role & Context
Purpose·
~To provide administrative, diary and organisational support to Head of Group Communications and Group Communications team.·
~To monitor Group Communications activity and provide reporting back to the business.·
~Provide effective and positive first point of contact for Communications enquiries

Context
Matrix management for global company with diverse product offerings§ culture change - required in teh organisation to enable swift response to market cycles and new competitors
~OneTeam must be implemented by all staff - need greater understanding of the strategies and employees' views of them
~Proactive facilitator of all aspects of communication
~Strategic development and implementation - can do attitude and creative problem-solving
~Second European language preferred but not essential

Dimensions
~Based in London
~Reports to Head of Group Communications
~Supports Group Communications team

Need to Do
Core responsibilities
Provide diary and administrative support for Head of Group Communications and Group Communications team
~Manage corporate events calendar
~Maintain external events/issues forward planning calendar
~Maintain up-to-date biographies for main Board Directors, Non-Executive Directors and key company staff.
~Maintain up-to-date 'killer statistics' on the company and individual businesses.
~Assist the Group Communications team with the preparation and hosting of any internal/external events.
~Compile weekly performance reports
~Ensure all team presentations are consistent, clear, concise, accurate and required
~Responsible for smooth running and customer focused Group function

Key Performance Indicators
~Designated activities achieved on plan and to budget.~
~Achievement of personal objectives agreed at PDR.
~360 degree feedback.
~Consistently display and promote the One Team Values.

Relationships
Report to Head of Group Communications. *Full time support for Communications Manager - Pieda *Retained Financial PR Agency * Chairman, CEO, MD UK, Finance Director, HR Director, MD Europe*Directors and Associate Directors.*Group Marketing and regional marketing network.*Administrative support staff.*External suppliers and media contacts.*Links to firms working in partnership with or for company - e.g. IT contractors.§ Professional bodies where relevant to own specialism - for continued professional development or shared
Expertise./Need to know
Qualifications: Educated to degree level *Secretarial qualification
Skills & Knowledge§ Strong organisational ability *Proactive, can-do attitude with ability to influence at all levels*Wide variety of technical abilities relevant to own specialisation*Calm under pressure *Good interpersonal and presentation skills*Good writing skills*Results-driven*Committed team player*Strong customer service ethic
Experience~Related work experience - 3 years in best practice professional services environment .
