| Experienced secretary required by a leading city firm.
Duties include: Typing of minutes, correspondence, including letters and reports/proposals and other general correspondence audio/copy(20%) Diary Management.Arranging meetings both internally and client clients. Compiling necessary papers for meetings.(15%) Arranging & booking tickets, hotels etc and compiling itineraries.(5%) Sorting, distributing & prioritising both internal & external post. Compilation of standard correspondence on behalf of partners.(5%) Handle incoming telephone calls from both clients and staff. Screen calls for partners.(15%) Maintaining effective client and internal filing information systems.(5%) Assist partners in preparing presentation / proposals.(10%) Develop a comprehensive knowledge of the partners' business contacts and general awareness of business issues.(10%) Maintain a daily to do list to ensure deadlines are met.(5%) Ensure partners' timesheets are submitted (5%) Organise social functions(5%) The Person The role requires initiative & flexibility, suiting an efficient organiser with fast and accurate typing skills. To be successful, the job holder will need to be confident, assertive, willing to work overtime when necessary and have the ability to prioritise their own workload. Must be used to dealing with clients at the highest levels and must present a professional image at all times. The job holder will also be required to cover secretarial holiday / sickness absence when necessary and when workload dictates.5 GCSEs grade A-C including maths and English Typing 60wpm (copy/Audio) Advanced Word, Intermediate PowerPoint, Intermediate Excel.
